Our Pre-school (Preparatory Class)

At Bencycare International School, our preschool blends the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) approach with local curriculum essentials to give young children a joyful, inquiry-driven start. Our lessons encourage exploration, creativity and critical thinking while building early literacy and numeracy foundations. We design playful, hands-on activities that support confident learners ready for Pre-Nursery Class.

Pre-Nursery

Basic One (Primary 1)

Basic One marks the beginning of the primary journey. Pupils are introduced to a wider range of subjects and guided to form proper sentences and basic written work. Core areas include: English Reading & Speaking, English Grammar, English Composition, Basic Science, Basic Technology, Mathematics, Cultural and Creative Art, Citizenship Education etc. We engage in different learning activities that makes them ready for Basic 2.

Basic Two (Primary 2)

In Basic Two we extend and deepen the skills introduced in Basic 1. Pupils receive structured lessons in Mathematics, English Language, Basic Science, History and Religious/Values Education etc. Teaching mixes direct instruction with multimedia, practical activities and group work to make learning memorable. Classroom methods include use of audio-visual aids, flashcards, practical experiments, group discussion, pictorial prompts and scaffolded worksheets — balanced with traditional note-taking and teacher-led explanation where appropriate. We engage in different learning activities that makes them ready for Basic 3.

Basic Three (Primary 3)

Basic Three is the final stage of the lower basic level and prepares pupils for the middle basic years. Children aged 8–11 are given richer, more detailed explanations and are encouraged to apply learning to their immediate environment. Their subjects at this level include Basic Science, English Grammar, Physical & Health Education and Citizenship (P.S.H.C.E.), etc. Lessons are increasingly activity-based and encourage independent thinking and problem solving. We engage in different learning activities that makes them ready for Basic 4.

Basic Four (Primary 4)

Basic Four begins the higher primary phase (Basic 4–5). Pupils encounter more challenging topics across Science, English Language and Mathematics as well as Social Studies and Spelling. We use a variety of engaging learning methods practical experiments, quizzes, demonstrations and educational videos alongside drama, recitation, puzzles and interactive sessions to develop higher-order thinking and confident communication. We engage in different learning activities that makes them ready for Basic 5.

Basic Five (Primary 5)

Basic 5 is the final class for primary education in Bencycare International School as the pupils prepares for common entrance examination into JSS1. In this class, we use a variety of engaging learning methods practical experiments, quizzes, demonstrations and educational videos alongside drama, recitation, puzzles and interactive sessions to develop higher-order thinking and confident communication. We engage in different learning activities that makes them ready for Secondary Education.

J.S.S.1 - J.S.S.3

Basic 5 is the final class for primary education in Bencycare International School as the pupils prepares for common entrance examination into JSS1. In this class, we use a variety of engaging learning methods practical experiments, quizzes, demonstrations and educational videos alongside drama, recitation, puzzles and interactive sessions to develop higher-order thinking and confident communication. We engage in different learning activities that makes them ready for Secondary Education.

Parent-Teacher Association (P.T.A.)

Our PTA supports a vibrant school community by promoting partnership between teachers, parents and pupils. The PTA helps fund school initiatives, provides volunteer support for events, organises community activities and fosters open communication across the school.
